Jennifer is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, Certified Dialectical Behavior Therapy Professional, and a Certified Associate Counselor Alcohol and Drug.  She is licensed in Maryland and Virginia and is also a Board Approved Clinical Supervisor in both states. She earned her master’s degree in counseling psychology from Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, Louisiana.

Jennifer believes we all have a purpose! Sometimes it is hard for us to fulfill our purpose because of how we interpret what we go through in life. Life can be difficult, especially when you are navigating through life events that have become overwhelming.  With a wealth of experience, diverse modalities, and a passion for helping clients discover their strengths, Jennifer believes in establishing rapport with her clients by providing empathetic, culturally sensitive counseling as they confront the issues they’re dealing with.

Jennifer’s goal is to empower individuals to overcome personal challenges and lead lives free from chronic stress, anxiety, addiction, depression, grief, and pain. She works with individuals, couples, and families. She uses a variety of approaches to counseling tailored to fit the needs of her clients including CBT, DBT, EMDR, Mindfulness-Based Therapy, and Trauma Focused Therapy. Her approach centers on helping clients navigate difficult emotions in a healthy way. She views each session as an opportunity to learn from the past, find strength in the present, and build a hopeful future.

Beyond her professional role, Jennifer is a dedicated wife and mother who finds joy in spending time with her family and friends. In her leisure time, she loves exploring new cuisines, watching movies, and traveling.
